Rathinam Technical College (RTC) has made a mark in achieving excellence in imparting quality education and is the recipient of affiliations from Anna University since its inception. Rathinam Technical Campus has many accreditations to its credit with ARIIA, NBA and NAAC A+ (3.45 grade) in the very first cycle.
Another significant milestone in the history of the college is the conferment of autonomy on the institution. A team of UGC experts visited the college in September 2022 and evaluated the potential and achievements of the college and recommended the college be declared as an autonomous institution. The college finally received its autonomous status from Anna University on 23 November 2022 for ten years (2022–2032).
